Wellington Girls’ College
Wellington, New Zealand
Opened in October 2020, the Wellington Girls’ College project has been quite a remarkable delivery considering AdBuild delivered this project during the pandemic. This has made it one of our more successful projects to date.
This project was in concept design in late March 2020, achieving building consent in June 2020 and is now handed over to Wellington Girls’ College.
This is a 9 Million NZD education project consisting of six different buildings. Some of these are quite complex science labs for the students.
We delivered this project using 49 modular chassis built in our Lower Hutt factories. Open decks, stairs and ramps were constructed on-site.
The project consists of standard teachings spaces, science labs and supporting rooms, such as lab prep and storage, as well as staff and student amenities.
Also, a key point of the project was the coordination between Wellington City Council, Hutt City Council, Ministry of Education and all the stakeholders. There was tremendous collaboration involved with various government agencies that saw results in record time.
