AdBuild is teaming up with Housing New Zealand and Peddle Thorp Architects to build a 23-unit residence in Auckland’s Mount Roskill. The project needed to meet high living and safety standards as well as achieving a Home Star 6-rating – on a timeline so tight that it couldn’t be achieved by traditional building methods. Working closely with Peddle Thorp Architects, a volumetric modular solution was designed.
AdBuild is currently constructing 20 one-bed and three two-bed units at their Lower Hutt production facilities and civils are progressing soon after.
“Several industries – such as social housing – are taking advantage of the advanced quality and flexibility that modular construction technologies can offer.
When a project such as Roskill South carries tight time constraints, modular technologies can streamline construction by allowing the build and siteworks to progress simultaneously.
The added benefits of this technology are shown in its finished design – a durable and modern aesthetic flexible to the needs of many New Zealanders.”
